Embrace of You

A prose poem

Every memory I think, you ambush into my mind- erasing every fragment I want to enlighten with. No matter how much I keep getting rid of the excess, it’s still there- still standing, strong as ever. Rare occasions became prevalent, our sightings were more meaningful, life became more willing. That touch, used to fulfill the emptiness of my heart. Where my heart was at its best state, what a fool to let it shatter even before the storm erupted. Brewing up many ways to devastate a hopeful woman- puncture the ways to damage her even more than she already was. The eyes that brought happiness, shifted into dreadful sighs the pain my eyes endured. A smile of pure delight turned into a horror story to constantly revisit.

All for months later to disappear-

permanently.
